Parts technicians move automotive, commercial transport, heavy duty, or marine goods from manufacturers to consumers. Their responsibilities include the ordering, warehousing, inventory control, and sales of parts. Some technicians work in retail hardware stores, selling parts for many different vehicle models or makes. Others work with dealerships, selling officially produced parts for only one make of vehicle.
