Information Technology (IT) network technicians help computer users network. They help people use computer applications and operating systems software. They also install, configure, and maintain client workstations and network servers connected by a local area network.

• The Information Technology Network Technician apprenticeship consists of 6,340 hours of on-the-job training.
• Apprentices must also complete two 12-week in-class technical training sessions.
• Once you have successfully completed the apprenticeship requirements, you receive a Certificate of Apprenticeship and are certified as a journeyperson in the trade.
• A person with at least 7,060 hours of related work experience is eligible to apply for a Trade Equivalency Assessment (TEA) and, if successful, becomes certified as a journeyperson in this trade.

Grade 12 or equivalent.
