Vanessa Neeb, a Stratford Northwestern graduate went through Cooperative Education for hairstyling and then continued on with OYAP to apprentice at Headquarters, a small but booming hair salon on Graff Avenue from 2006 until 2009. In July 2009 Vanessa finished her apprenticeship at Headquarters. Then in December of the same year, the owner approached Vanessa and asked her if she would like to buy the business from her. Three months after being offered to buy the salon she accepted and bought the business. Vanessa said the idea of owning her own business had always been intriguing and that Cooperative Education and OYAP opened her eyes to everyday business life and confirmed the idea of wanting to be a hairstylist. Vanessa has successfully made Headquarters her own after five years and is continuing to run it today. Cooperative Education and OYAP played a major role in her success.
