Andrea Censorio

CHEF

Andrea Censoria got his start with the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) at the Toronto Catholic District School Board.  That’s where he realized he wanted to be a chef and see the world doing it.  After graduation, he completed his three year apprenticeship at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto.  He continued to work there for a year and a half as a licensed chef, where he trained and worked in everything from cold to hot pastry, banquets, room service, high tea, and fine dining.  When he got his Red Seal certificate, Andrea moved to Venice, Italy and worked for about one year at a couple of fine dining restaurants.  He returned to Canada and started working at Hockley Valley Resort in Orangeville and began to learn the management side of the business.  After almost a year, Andrea left Hockley Valley and moved to Dubai, United Arab Emerites as a Chef de Partie in a 5 star hotel.  Within a few months of being in Dubai, a chef from Venice called and Andrea is now headed back to Italy where he will be working at one of Italy’s best hotels called the Gritti Palace.
